Gestational diabetes is a type of diabetes, which is found in women during pregnancy period for the first time. It is similar to other diabetes in which your blood sugar or blood glucose becomes too high. Glucose is essential for body for energy, but excess amount of glucose can be harmful. Particularly during your pregnancy period, higher amount of sugar is certainly not good for your baby. Gestational diabetes can be treated. high glucose level during pregnancy have harmful effect on u and baby,, so avoid sweets and regular RBS level for this. if glucose level is much high than u may have to take insulin injection..

i have a question , i am 30 weeks pregnant and been tested with gestational diabetes which i have managed to control trough diet and walks , but is it OK if i eat some sweets once in a while .will it be harmful for me and my baby.
