Milestones of your Baby’s Growth

When your baby came in your life, you get very excited to nourish your love one with tender care. Mother and father both try to make all efforts for their baby’s healthy growth. Sometimes many parents cannot spare more time for their baby due to many reasons such as job, work at home, etc. In such case they do not understand that their baby growing perfectly or not. Good preliminary development is essential for newborn baby.

You should notice development stages of your baby and know that your baby is growing perfectly or not.

For First One Month

Your baby is reacting on some causes such as when she hears some loud noise, she gets frighten. Baby begins to smile. Your baby tries to lie on tummy. When you carry baby’s head, she/he can’t balance it and fall ahead or back; capable to lift and turns head. She always keeps her hands close. Arms and legs extend outward.

2 Months Baby

As baby becomes two months old she/he reacts more to her parents than others. She/he shows a liking of sleeping positions with relaxation. She/he smiles, laughs and also able to lift her head slightly. Your baby can sleep well during night.

4 Months Baby


Now, your baby can react more promptly and start recognized parents.  She squeals, babbles, and laughs. Baby got little control while lifting head. Baby tries to reach to object using both arms. Your baby can wait little while preparing feeding for her/him. She starts understanding her mother’s language.

6 months Baby

Now your baby is in good health and parents enjoy playing with baby as she/he responds them more. She smiles and laughs for her liking and crying on disliking. Baby can turn easily from front to back. She gets little difficult for turning back to front position. Baby gets good control on head movement and capable to sit.  She can reach to get when found new object or toy. She tries to move from hand to hand. She put everything in mouth. In some baby, you can see appearance of the first teeth which normally occurs at seven months.
 
9 Months Baby

You can notice your baby’s growth. She/he looks healthier and gains some weight. She/he can sit safely with some help. She/he can try to stand up by holding chair or table, and try to walk. Your baby starts turn around floor and tries crawling, though at first often backwards. Try to hold objects using thumb and index finger. He/she becomes interested to know what happened around him. He/she follows her/him parents or other family member’s instructions. Baby tries to speak some word like baba, dada, papa, etc. Baby can eat some mashed solid foods. Baby can recognize family members and reacts to strangers.
 
12 Months Baby

Your baby can now capable to sit properly and also walk slowly with or without support. Some baby can walk and some baby may not depend on health of baby. They can also speak short words like mama, papa, baba, dada, etc. They can sit and play with toys themselves. They can understand language properly and respond instructions of parent. They try to eat themselves like biscuits, fruits or snacks. They can also try bottle feeding themselves. They become choosier and express their liking and disliking things.

Love and Gentle Care for Healthy Growth

In development of your baby, you need to take gentle care of your baby. As your baby grows, she/he becomes naughtier and ignores your instructions.  In such case you need to explain your baby with patience and love. If you get angry with your child and make him/her punishment, then he becomes disobedient. On other way, if you handle your baby with love and tolerance, she/he gets ready to obey your directions quickly. Child’s development is really a matter of concern. You need to teach your child good manners and behaviors to make him/her respectable and educated person in the society. Developing healthy and intellectual child is the first step in the development of healthy nation. As a responsible mother and father, parenting healthy and intellectual child is considered parenting healthy nation.
