The baby is now .51-inch and though it doesn't exactly tip the scales as of now, but it's developing on a faster pace.
The baby in your 7th week of pregnancy generates around one hundred new brain cells every minute! Along with the brain, the baby's heart is also becoming complex. It's now developing a permanent set of kidneys and the arm as well as leg joints are now being formed.
The cervical mucus is becoming thicker and it will form a plug in the cervical canal. This plug seals the cervix throughout your pregnancy and will be expelled just before you deliver the baby, when the cervix begins to dilate.
You have not gained much weight – around only one or two pounds. You really don’t look pregnant yet, but some mothers may just notice a small pooch in their lower abdomen.
Walking is the best activity for you as it is safe, easy to do, and improves your cardiovascular fitness. Swimming is also a good exercise as it uses your entire body and puts less strain on your joints. Other than this, prenatal yoga and stretching can help in easing your tension and keep you flexible and strong.
