Pre Pregnancy >> Premature ejaculation

Premature ejaculation in men is a sexual disorder that is very common. Most men never talk about it because they consider it a very embarrassing thing which they would rather keep to themselves. One should not be embarrassed about this because it is quite common to many men and talking to your physician about it will greatly help you because he can give you some techniques of how you can prevent premature ejaculation. Some of the techniques might include using drugs and some might include other methods that do not involve the use of drugs. This article will be looking at premature ejaculation, its symptoms and what you can do to prevent or neutralize it. Premature ejaculation can be defined as ejaculation that happens too quickly to satisfy his partner and way before the man would wish it to happen. In order for it to be a sexual disorder, the ejaculation has to happen frequently. Premature ejaculation that is not frequent is quite normal especially in young men and is not considered a sexual disorder.

Causes of premature ejaculation

Premature ejaculation may be caused by a number of factors that include:

• Psychological factors

• Problems related to health

• Stress related problems

• Medication that one may be taking

As earlier mentioned; premature ejaculation is only considered a problem if it is a regular thing. If premature ejaculation continuously affects you during most of your sexual encounters then you should probably visit a doctor and seek his advice on the matter. The doctor might examine you to find out if premature ejaculation is a symptom of an underlying condition which you could be suffering from. If it is not, then he might just prescribe drugs that will help delay ejaculation.

Symptoms of premature ejaculation

Symptoms of this are very hard to notice because there is no standard time that a man should take before ejaculating and that is why premature ejaculation is simply defined as ejaculation before the male or his partner wishes for it to happen.

Techniques that can help you manage premature ejaculation

• The start and stop technique

You should practice the start and stop technique which involves stopping your thrust motion just before you reach the point of orgasm. You should then wait for the orgasm urge to reduce before resuming stimulation. Squeezing the head of the penis would also help in reducing this urge thus you can also try it while withdrawing.

• Different sexual positions

Experimenting with different sexual positions is very important in the quest to overcome premature ejaculation. This is because different positions have different degrees of sensation thus there are some positions that will reduce the sensation that you will feel thus reducing the muscle tension that is necessary to hold the sperm. It can also give you increased concentration levels which will give you control over the muscles responsible for ejaculation. This will ultimately give you control over your ejaculation and surely prevent any unwanted ejaculation.

• Masturbation

Masturbation before the sexual encounter that you are planning to have is also a very effective technique. If you masturbate two hours before intercourse engagement then this might help you delay ejaculation. Another way is that you can also try and bring your partner to high arousal levels before having intercourse. You can do this by engaging her in non-intercourse sexual foreplay which can last for a longer period than what you are normally used to. This will in turn lead to reduced psychological pressure that may increase the chances of ejaculating prematurely.

• Use of desensitizing lubricants

It is very important to try and experiment with different lubricants which can help desensitize your most sensitive parts. These products are mostly over the counter products and should be used inside a condom so as to prevent the spread of the lubricant to your partner and ultimately reducing her pleasure by desensitizing her most sensitive areas. Caution should however be exercised when purchasing this lubricants. Make sure that you have done you research on the product that you intend to purchase so as to prevent accidents or permanent damage to your privates. Consult your physician and because he is the best person to give you recommendations on this issue.

All in all, having premature ejaculation is not the end of the world as some men look at it. It is simply a disorder that can be dealt with effectively. If you follow some of the recommendations and techniques highlighted in this article then you are sure to eliminate the problem completely or at list reduce it to acceptable levels.
