Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs have been one of the most fascinating species that have ever existed on planet Earth. These have been known by many diverse names. The Chinese used to term them as the Dragons. These have been one of the most ferocious and varied species that lived millions of years before the existence of human kind. There have been many stories that have been produced regarding the extinction of this specie. However, it is still a topic of debate. There have been many specimens of fossils found all over the world. These fossils are the remains of some of the dinosaurs that were preserved by certain sedimentary rocks and glaciers. The bones thus recovered help to analyze the structure of these beings. These terrestrial vertebrates existed for over 135 million of years and during that era there were many kinds of dinosaurs that surfaced Earth. These were both carnivore as well as herbivore. Approximately 230 million years ago this race came into existence and since then it kept on evolving into diverse species. Some of the dinosaurs escaped the process of extinction and have gradually evolved since then and are living examples of the extinct dinosaur lineage. With over 9 thousand living species, these were certainly an army of diversity.
