Formula feeding vs. breast feeding

Breast feeding is the original food of the baby where as bottle feeding is nothing but just the formula milk for baby. No food for baby is as necessary as mother’s milk and therefore it cannot be compared. As recommended by the doctors, baby should be feed with mother’s milk at least for 6 months after that formula milk or bottle can be recommended. With this mother’s milk contains some important hormones and nutrients which is needed by the baby for its growth. Mother’s milk also contains certain antibodies which protect the child from the harmful diseases.
Bottle feeding has some disadvantages as well, the baby that frequently feed on bottle milk suffers from diarrhea, chest infection and urine infection. Bottle feeding should be given with great care as it’s really important to have the proper concentration of the formula milk, it should not be too strong or too mild. Mother’s milk also contains some proteins and digestives enzymes which helps the baby to digest the food easily whereas bottle feeding doesn’t fulfill all this requirements of the baby. Therefore breast feeding is far better than the bottle feeding for the baby’s health and growth.
