Postpartum diet

Gaining weight during pregnancy is very normal and it happens with almost every expecting woman but going for a diet after pregnancy is surely a big mistake. During pregnancy you are not the only one that needs energy or nutrition but it’s the foetus or baby as well who depends on the mother. During pregnancy especial preference should be given to diet. Healthy and nutritious food is necessary both for the baby as well as the mother hence most of the mother’s gain weight after childbirth. Going through a crash dieting or weight loss dieting would definitely affect the mother. Dieting leads to deficiency of important minerals needed after pregnancy which causes many complications to the mother.
Some women due to dieting go through mental and physical health problems which they don’t understand. Dieting may often cause less production of milk which affects the baby feeding. Weight cannot be lost overnight, it will take time so till then you have to be patient. Following the healthy diet plan with some exercise would help in shedding off extra fat from the body.  Woman needs to take rest after the childbirth which doesn’t include any kind of crash dieting.
