There is a range of days or months between which pregnant women are expected to give birth which is called the gestation period. Some times the delivery date of pregnant women doesn’t fall into this range and it is earlier. When a baby arrives earlier than 37 weeks of pregnancy, it is referred to as a premature birth in the medical terms. When a baby is delivered well ahead of the delivery date there could be some complications. So generally, it is more likely that your baby will do well the further you are on into your pregnancy. The reasons behind this are quite simple and logical. The organs of your baby such as the lungs would have all the time for them to mature and she would be better prepared for breathing. More strength would also be available for your baby to suck and feed.
