Everyone thinks that childhood is the best age and there is no tension in life, up to teenage, but today this statement is not appropriated as teenager are also suffering more stress due to various reasons. The reasons that cause stress in teenagers are homework, average performance in school, numerous activities without proper schedule, pressure from teacher, parents, and coaches in other activities, high expectation from parents and teachers, teenage love, illness, family problem, physical fitness, lack of self-confidence and many more.

At 13 yrs of age child require more nutritious diet full of protein, fiber, starch and calorie 4 sufficient growth n development of body, any deficiency may lead to recurrent infection and also hamper study, so start high protein diet, green leafy vegetables, and supplements in form of multivitamin- iron.

hi col ojha,
my son is 13 yr old, he still does not eat veggies & nuts, he is undergoing school stress as well. i am afraid that he may land up with some deficiency . he is not on any supplements, kindly advice.
