Irrespective of the mischief committed by your child, do bear in mind that punishment is not an answer for all such problems. I was watching Oprah Winfrey Show where Will Smith with his entire family participated in the show and I really liked what he said about punishment to his own kids. He was asked by Oprah if the kids get punished and he said... there are consequences to actions and he would not like to put it as a punishment. Punishment is negative connotation which he doesnot entertain. There is agreement of what kind of consequences the kids will go through because of their actions and then kids implement it. I really liked the concept and thought process.
