Babies born at less than 37 week's of pregnancy are considered premature.

Babies born before 32 week's of pregnancy are very premature.

Extremely premature babies are those born before 28 week's of pregnancy.

Premature babies are at risk of:

Low birth weight
Risk of infections
Developmental delays
Breathing problems
Temperature regulation
Feeding problems
Even death

Because of these risks premature baby may have to spend several weeks in NICU.

First check the prematurity of baby.

Once hospital will discharge little one the medical needs are fulfilled and you can grow your baby normally.

Once baby will be able to breath normal, start growing weight on constant basis, gain normal weight and starts taking feeding normally, baby can be discharged and do not need medical support after that.
