When your infant becomes more than 9 months, he/she starts learning new things day by day. He tries to catch new things whatever is found around him. Normally, children learn to walk between ages of 9 months to 18 months. It depends on their physical growth, nature and health condition. Many children start walking from 9 months only while other may start after 15 months. You need to encourage your child for walking step by step to build confidence in him for walking.

When you start giving solid food, always start with semi-solids like:

Loose Khichdi
Chopped dal and rice
Thick vegetable soups
Chopped chapati and milk etc

Once your baby starts eating these food normally, you can shift to solid food food.

For training your baby to chew, continuously instruct your baby to chew, when eating, you can also show him how to chew.

When teething process of baby starts, they actually need something hard to chew all the time as they will have irritation in their mouth, so you can give some hard food item like carrot to your baby.
