Almost all children now-a-days usually are not listening to their parents. Some parents easily get irritated with their kids especially when they want their kids to do something for them. Sometimes children want to talk with their parents about what they saw and feel but mostly parents don’t pay attention to their kids as they are busy doing something else. Many parents don’t know how to communicate with their kids compared in talking with their friends. These things often happens to some kids who don’t like to listen. Kids really get easily embarrassed when their parents yell at them without knowing the correct reason. These things will lead to frustrations with both the parents and the children. The parents must know how to manage their children, understand and communicate with them. Parents are used to raise their voices loud with their kids as they think it is the right way to make theri child listen to them and get his attention. But this deed is really a big mistake, because what they showed up, the results really goes into an opposite side. At that point the kid will no longer listen to you on whatever you want or something to do with them.

I had faced a similar problem. i know how frustrating it is. in my opinion, first of all, dont bother what others say. it is just u and ur child. u must win his confidence. u must be his play mate, friend, etc and listen to whatever he tells u with utmost attention. talk to him in a happy and animated manner, whenever possible. kids love it. after u have gained his confidence, u can slowly and staedily mould him. tell him very patiently and politely what happens to disobedient kids, etc, but dont expect him to change overnight. reward him with positive things (that r good for him) and slowly u can see the change. it will take a few months or even a few years, depending on the extent he is pampered.

all the best!

This is quit common problem in joint family, all you need to do is spend some quality time with your child, allow him to understand the concept of manners and good behavior.

Do not start to punish your child suddenly, it will disturb your child even more, make him understand about wrong behavior, talk to him and let him realize his mistake.

Appreciate every good behavior next time onwards, also give him rewards for good behavior.

If same thing repeats, you can worn him about harsh punishment, still if he dose same then, you should be strict.

Work on it step by step, give your child some time to overcome extra pampering, and do it continuously.

My six year old son has been pampered a lot by his grand parents during his first five years. AS a result of which he is totally disobedient.
But now I am blamed for this behavior and often end up in yelling at my son.

PLease suggest, what corrective measures to be taken
